"printer offline" problem. how to correct. i’m also using a mac with os10.6.8 with canon mp600 printer. today i got my first inexplicable “offline” message in seven years of use, affecting both the printer and the scanner functions on the mp600.. A couple of months ago i bought a canon mx920 series printer and after i installed it it worked perfectly fine, however, since a couple of days ago i'm no longer able to print. every time i press the 'print' button i get the message 'the printer is offline.. The printers show up and the canon is pictured with a green checkmark on it, but if you scroll over it, a small popup box comes up and says, "status: offline, status: not connected"..
