Windows 10 barfs all over itself when trying to install. by default win10 recognizes the printer and installs the ws driver version which can't print to this printer at all! and now win10 won't even install the actual printer driver.. When you manually install a local printer in windows 10 it will default to port lpt1. port lpt1 is for a parallel interface, so unless you are using that type of interface your printer will not work. my printer is connected via a usb cable.. If windows 10 troubleshooting doesn’t work, or if windows 10 hasn’t detected your printer, the next step is to check whether or not it’s been installed. click start and go to settings.
